Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Claudette Binet has been a volunteer at the Gatineau Hospital since 1985 and has served in a number of positions, from admissions clerk to president of the volunteer association. She has worked to improve the well-being of patients and has taken part in activities to recognize the contribution of volunteers and to promote the association. Prior to this, Mrs. Binet was a volunteer at the book fair for thirteen years and also taught literacy skills in the region for two years.
