Ken McClymont, Ottawa, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Ken McClymont has volunteered throughout the years and even more since his retirement in 1987. He has served his church in many capacities and was especially active in fundraising for youth camps and recreation activities. Since 1992, he has worked steadily with residents of the Edinburgh retirement residence. He helps with many day-to-day activities, including conducting bingos and games, walking with residents, escorting them to medical appointments, serving as master of ceremonies for various events, and driving groups on Sunday outings. Mr. McClymont is also a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and the South East Ottawa Community Services.
