Marjorie Brown, Oakville, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Marjorie Brown has been involved for many years as volunteer coordinator and member of the board of Survivors of Stroke, helping both the victims and their families. She was one of the Fareshare Foodbank's original volunteers nearly a decade ago, and is still actively involved, and has been a dedicated worker with Oakville Kiwanis Meals on Wheels since 1990. Miss Brown has also volunteered at a local school, working with children with learning disabilities who have benefited from the one-on-one attention she provided.
