Suzanne Gendron has devoted herself to others, helping seniors to read and write, housing disaster victims, driving sick people to the hospital and organizing the collection of Christmas baskets. More than once she has been in the right place at the right time to prevent a suicide. She was instrumental in getting a bus stop and a letterbox installed near a residence for senior citizens, as well as traffic lights in downtown Sherbrooke and more accessible buses for people who are elderly or disabled. Mrs. Gendron is also interested in promoting a law to protect seniors from violence.
