Over the years, Vaughan Marples has been an active volunteer in his community and is now dedicated to a life of voluntarism. He solicits donations for the food bank, organizes an annual church auction and bazaar, participates actively in a school program aimed at promoting literacy and mathematic skills, and is a volunteer driver for a seniors' residence. He is also involved with athletic games for persons with disabilities and collects tabs from soft drink cans to help purchase wheelchairs.
