Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

From minor hockey and Scouts Canada, to church and city commitments, Joe Brown has been steadfast in his volunteer service to the citizens of Vernon over the past three decades. He also volunteered with the local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society for some twenty years and with the BC and Yukon Heart Foundation. He has similarly helped with countless fund-raisers and other endeavours with the Royal Canadian Legion, the Lions Club and the Masons.
