William Kamermans, Miramichi, N.B.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
William Kamermans has devoted many years to serving his community in practical ways. Former Grand Knight of the local Knights of Columbus Council, he has continued to serve as volunteer caretaker of the Council's hall, to lead projects and to participate in many activities. He is active in his church and with the Royal Canadian Legion. Mr. Kamermans also arranges for the regular delivery of food to a home for battered women and acts as the liaison between the Knights of Columbus and the local food bank.
