Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
In 1984, Lucille Rouleau-Ross founded Ostop Montreal and the Osteoporosis Society of Quebec, and she set up the Menopause Osteoporosis Foundation in 1993. Her efforts and tireless dedication have helped to educate the public about this disease and its prevention. During the preceding years she also did volunteer work with the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire (IODE), St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Mental Health Campaign, the Montreal Council of Women, the Parents' Association of the Montreal Youth Club, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
