Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

An ardent health care volunteer, Carolyn Hill has served at the local, provincial and national levels of a variety of organizations in the health sector. She has held a number of positions with the Canadian Cancer Society, promoting and developing workplace education and volunteer training programs. She has also worked on a variety of smoking prevention campaigns. Mrs. Hill has served on the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Hospital Foundation, manages the hospital's flower shop and has volunteered over 7,000 hours of service to the hospital's Civic Auxiliary.
