Deborah Bennett, of Ottawa, Ontario, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre through her dedicated and efficient management of the Centre's gift boutique. Between co-ordinating the other volunteers, purchasing stock, planning the budget and filling shifts, she has given over 14 000 hours since 1992. Mrs. Bennett's caring and commitment has improved the quality of life for all residents of the long-term care home.
