Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Peter Williams is known throughout Sudbury, Ontario, for his countless volunteer activities as well as for his warm and endearing personality. A volunteer with the Easter Seal Society for 15 years, Mr. Williams co-hosts its annual telethon and is an active fundraiser. He has also been the emcee for many Sudbury Symphony Orchestra events. Mr. William has hosted an annual Big Brothers and Big Sisters bowling event, and in 1998, he founded the Big Break, an annual fundraising pool tournament, for the organization. He also helps with the Neighbourhood Action Project of Sudbury food drive. Mr. Williams generously gives of his time, and is always willing to share his talents for the benefit of the community.
