    Georges Keays Sept-Îles, Quebec Georges Keays started serving the North Shore community 50 years ago. The only World War II veteran still living in Sept-Îles, he was the founding member and chair of the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He has been very involved with young people from the North Shore and played a major role in establishing the Jacques Cartier Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps (RCSCC 117). He founded the annual Course de Bout'choux for skiers in the region, and established the Camp des Jeunes du Lac Rapide in 1959, which has provided thousands of young people with an unforgettable experience in an environment that is conducive to their development.
