For over 47 years, Lloyd Carefoot has promoted the Scout Movement in Lethbridge as a founding member of the 68th Lethbridge Windystone Baden Powell Guild. Additionally, he has been a member of the Lethbridge Independent Order of Foresters since 1969, and a volunteer and director of the Lethbridge Food Bank for over 28 years. He has raised funds for the Canadian Red Cross, the Victorian Order of Nurses, the Canadian Kidney Foundation, the CNIB Canada, the Nord-Bridge Seniors Centre, and the Stirling Railroad Museum Association.
