Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Rosa Christensen has supported the Danish community in Montreal for over 27 years, in addition to helping many others in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce region of Montreal through various fundraisers, house visits and charitable actions. She has organized numerous successful fundraising events for the Danish Canadian Society and the Danish Club, as well as for her local church. She has also given much support to her local food bank and to many ailing and elderly members of her community, preparing numerous care boxes for shut-ins during the holidays, offering free transportation and lending a helping hand with housecleaning chores and personal needs. Mrs. Christensen's exceptional efforts and commitment continue to enrich the lives of many Canadians, young and old.
