Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Ken Bond enjoyed a lifetime of caring for family and neighbours, and decades of volunteer service to the members of every community where he lived. He was an organizer and a worker, donating his time and efforts to the local branches of Scouts Canada, the Minor Hockey Association, the Eagles Association, the Alzheimer's Society and the RCMP Veterans' Association. He sponsored immigrating families of Chinese Canadians, counselled families on the Kamloops Indian Band Reserve, and volunteered on the Residents Committee of the seniors lodge.
