Françoise Lamoureux, Hawkesbury, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Françoise Lamoureux is very much involved in her community. At the Prescott-Russell Residence, she leads the various activities for the residents. For many years, she has prepared the schedules for the Hawkesbury Meals on Wheels. She also meets with new clients in their homes and delivers hot meals every week. Since 1997, Mrs. Lamoureux has worked at the Dîner communautaire de Hawkesbury, where she chairs monthly meetings, welcomes clients at the door and helps to decorate the hall. For the past 10 years, she has worked on her parish's pastoral council as head of the recreation committee.
