Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
For more than two decades, Lance Koschzeck has devoted his time, energy and knowledge to the Army Cadet movement in Whitehorse. He actively promotes biathlon skiing, in which his cadets now compete at the national level, and spends endless evenings and weekends working with youth and at community fundraising events. A member and former president of the Royal Canadian Legion, he is deeply involved in many community activities, has served as chair of the local poppy campaign and helps to organize and plays the bugle at local Remembrance Day ceremonies.
