Paddy Bondy, Garson, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Paddy Bondy has donated enormous amounts of personal time, energy, skills and resources to her community of Garson and the greater Sudbury area for many years. She has been active in Guides, as a volunteer youth counsellor and youth encounter program coordinator. She plants flowers on town property, and provides support for seniors, shut-ins, the elderly and anyone in need. Since 1997, Ms. Bondy has been involved in the Regional Spring Foodshare Committee and the Garson Community Food Bank and, since 1999, has been Chair of the Sudbury Food Bank Warehouse Advisory Board.
