Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
For many years, Jim Hoskins has cheerfully given of his time and energy to numerous voluntary organizations in Wetaskiwin. He has volunteered with the local Canadian Cancer Society since 1960, currently serving as Memorial Chairman, and has been a volunteer driver and visitor for isolated senior citizens. He is active in a number of other community groups and is a member of the Wetaskiwin Fun Singers that entertain senior citizens and hospital groups. Mr. Hoskins' optimistic approach to life is an inspiration to his community.
