Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
A longtime volunteer with service clubs, youth movements and health-related organizations, Mabel Miller has notably given of her time to young offenders through her voluntary work for a local Youth Assessment Centre for Young Offenders in Newfoundland. For the last few years, she has actively supported families and people with thyroid disease as the founding president of the Gander chapter of the Thyroid Foundation of Canada.
