Frank J. Cauley, Gloucester, Ont.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
For more than fifty years, Frank Cauley has been dedicated to public life and community service, from the Grace Hospital and the local Kiwanis Club, to the local school board and city council. He is still active in a variety of community activities, including the Royal Canadian Legion. During the Legion's poppy campaigns, he visits schools to talk to students about the devastation of war, canvasses for funds, and writes articles for the local papers. In addition, Mr. Cauley served as Chairperson for the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Ottawa-Carleton Boys and Girls Club.
