Lela Irvine has always contributed to her community. In addition to canvassing for a number of charitable organizations, she has been a driver for Meals on Wheels as well as a volunteer for the Well Baby Clinics. She is currently involved with the Handycapable Housing Society, the Hospice Society, the Terry Fox Run and the Leukemia Society Run. She has been an active member of her church and its choir, and a fervent supporter of its rummage sales. Mrs. Irvine has provided long-term support for several senior citizens, helping them with their finances and driving them to their appointments, offering company and friendship.
