Already active in a variety of curricular, extracurricular and community activities during his career as a teacher, Arthur Smith's voluntarism moved into high gear after his retirement. He has been the driving force in the annual Red Cross Campaign for many years. His church, the Royal Canadian Legion, Meals on Wheels, a refugee family from El Salvador, seniors and any organization or person in need of help have all benefited from his concern and dedication.
