Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Rollin Hauser has given himself wholeheartedly to his volunteer work with the West End Achievers. The club provides a "day out" program for persons with disabilities in Ottawa. He used his musical training to form the Ottawa Handicapped Choir, which is a source of great pride to the participants and the community. Mr. Hauser directed the Choir for 25 years, teaching and composing songs for the Choir members. In addition to contributing to the organization's music program, he helped out for many years with the woodworking class.
