Merle Winnifred Taylor

Merle Taylor has been a volunteer for over 65 years. In the 1950s, she co-founded the Lochaber Women's Institute and for three decades she led the local UNICEF and Canadian Cancer Society canvassing teams. She is a long-time member of the Nova Scotia Amateur Radio Association and the Amateur Radio Emergency Services, and has helped bring emergency assistance to many people in distress.
