For more than 40 years, James Macmillan has been a member of the 14 Wing Pipes and Drums band, serving as pipe sergeant and as a member of the band outreach program, where his dedication to offering free courses for new band members has enabled countless new pipers to learn to play. He has also offered lessons to the public through the Wolfville Baptist Church and has served there as church curator since 2015.
