For many years, Gretchen McCurdy has been actively committed to the community of Chester, Nova Scotia. While Ms. McCurdy has long been involved with various local charities and municipal affairs, it is her 25 years of commitment to the Girl Guides of Canada that make her stand out. A natural leader, Ms. McCurdy was appointed as chief commissioner and chief international commissioner of the organization in 2003. Generous with her time, experience and expertise, Ms. McCurdy is committed to mentoring and supporting young people.
