Nicole Bélanger has been involved with the Club optimiste de Saint-Émile for the past 10 years, where each year, she acts as judge of the competition for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. She is also the president of the Association des personnes avec une déficience de l’audition and helps with the annual Noël du Bonheur dinner.
