Steve Schmidt has been volunteering with the Law Enforcement Torch Run since 2011, and has been serving on its planning committee for major fundraising events in the Edmonton area. Serving as vice-chair of the regional operations committee, he has helped the organization build a strong relationship with Special Olympics Alberta. He has also been a team supervisor with Habitat for Humanity where he assisted with two home building projects.
