Joyce Lissimore has helped the homeless in Metro Vancouver access shelter, food, clothing and medical services through Trinity United Church and the Port Coquitlam Food Bank. Her advocacy work as a member of the Tri-Cities Homelessness Task Group was a driving force in opening the Rain City Housing Facility and the Extreme Weather Shelter in Coquitlam.
