Since 2001, Percy Bridges has been volunteering with the local branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, serving as third vice-president and organizing events such as sugar shack outings and annual visits to the Trois-Rivières Veterans Cemetery. He has also served as president of the Canadian International Paper Retirees Association for nearly 20 years.
