Since 2002, Vincent Lafontaine has volunteered with Sauvetage et recherche aériens du Québec. He volunteered as the commander of Zone Six and currently serves as security officer and treasurer. In his previous role as zone safety officer, he organized training sessions that led to improved safety standards. He also serves as a member of the sponsoring committees of two local air cadet squadrons.
