Since 1996, Paul Ritchie has demonstrated his musical talent as a piper with the Regimental Pipes and Drums of the Calgary Highlanders. He supports the band by managing their equipment and is also currently writing a book about the regiment to preserve its history and raise public awareness of its contributions to Canada.
