Through The Special Friends Network, Sierra Gilbert has participated in numerous
WE Schools initiatives, notably by volunteering at a local animal sanctuary and planting a garden for Action Against Hunger. She is part of the ErinoakKids Youth Advisory Committee, and competes in both basketball and rhythmic gymnastics through Special Olympics Ontario.
