For more than 15 years, Howard Johnson organized bingos across Calgary, raising funds for organizations such as Simon House Recovery Centre, Calgary Academy Parents Association and the Allegiance Elite Drum Corps of Calgary. He has also served on the Executive of Branch 275 of the Royal Canadian Legion and chaired the darts league.
