Over the past 50 years, Douglas Hinchliffe has served on the executive of the Swan River Curling Club, the Royal Canadian Legion, the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and the Rotary Club. He also established the Community Foundation of Swan Valley as a means of raising funds for local charities.
