Jean-Claude Poirier has focused his volunteer contributions on helping youth through sports and cadet programs with the Royal Canadian Navy and the Navy League of Canada. He has also given of his time to such community organizations as the Club Radio Amateur de Québec Inc., the Club Optimiste Chomedey de Laval and the Carnaval de Québec.
