Michael Machargo founded the CHEO BBQ 26 years ago with the intention of holding a sporting event to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Foundation. It became an annual tournament with 1 500 guests and over 200 volunteers. Donations help the hospital provide a wide variety of pediatric programs, research, state-of-the-art equipment and assistance for families in crisis.
