Chen Fong has worked to enrich western Canada’s landscape of medical innovation.
Professor emeritus and former head of radiology at the University of Calgary, he is also a
private philanthropist who generously supports medical research and the development
of new medical technologies. Committed to encouraging the growth of this sector,
he funded and nurtured numerous start-up medical device companies in Canada.
Beyond supporting medical development in industry and academia at home, he also
organizes charitable donations of equipment to hospitals in developing countries.
