An internationally recognized authority in the neurological field of movement disorders, Anthony Lang has advanced the understanding of Parkinson's disease. He is a professor at and director of the Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto, and holds a chair in Parkinson's disease research at the Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases. He initiated the Movement Disorders Clinic, at the Toronto Western Hospital, now the largest of its kind in Canada and one of the best known in the world. Over the years, he has provided leadership to Parkinson Society Canada, the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives and the Tourette Syndrome Association.
