Dinu Bumbaru is a prominent leader in the promotion and protection of heritage, here at home and abroad. Policy director at Héritage Montréal, he is extremely committed to making citizens, as well as public and political authorities, aware of the importance of our historical, architectural, natural and cultural heritage. Former secretary general of the International Council on Monuments and Sites, he also travels all over the world as a consultant. He makes recommendations regarding the reconstruction and preservation of cities that have been destroyed or devastated by war or natural disasters. An architect by training, he is also associated with a number of organizations that focus on urban planning, built heritage and the environment.
