Inventor and entrepreneur, he has contributed to the development of electronic and geophysical technology for more than 60 years. Originator of 55 patents in Canada and the United States, in 1943 he created the Radio Frequency System, commonly known as the "Walkie-Talkie". It was adopted by both Canadian and United States troops during World War II and was essential for their air-to-ground and land-to-sea communications. His original devices were the precursors for many of today's radio frequency and communication systems.
