A woman of action and vision in the world of business, Carole Lafrance is a role model for women wishing to make a mark in their field of endeavour. In 1978, she founded one of the first Canadian firms to specialize in human resources communications. With remarkable determination, she built her company into an international presence. The first Canadian to become a member of the prestigious Committee of 200 (an international association of prominent businesswomen), she was also the first woman to chair the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Currently at the helm of another company, she is still involved with several organizations, including the Women's International Forum and the Canadian Labour and Business Centre.
