As Chairman of the Metropolitan Toronto Council, he effected positive changes to municipal government, law enforcement, public transit and cultural development. Now President and Chief Executive Officer of one of Canada's largest newspaper publishing groups, he is no less active, as a volunteer, striving to enrich the quality of life in his community through his involvement in education, health care and culture.
