Following wartime and postwar service in Canada's aircraft industry as an aerodynamics engineer, Bernard Etkin served the University of Toronto with distinction as a teacher, researcher, Dean of Engineering and as a member of the Governing Council. He designed and brought into being novel research facilities. His four published volumes on the dynamics of flight are classics, referred to by students and engineers around the world. He has served Canadian industry and government extensively, making him a key contributor to the aerospace industry and our aviation heritage.
