She is known as an "Angel to the Arts". The Canadian Opera Company, the National Ballet of Canada and the Toronto Arts Council have benefited from her influence as a patron and volunteer. She has used her vast knowledge to introduce Canadians to the wonders of Chinese art and culture as a docent at the Art Gallery of Ontario and lecturer at the Royal Ontario Museum. A tireless promoter of the Chinese Canadian community, she has also served as Chair of the Metro Toronto Caravan's popular attraction, the Cathay Pavilion.
