She has spent half a century caring for India's disadvantaged persons. Often referred to as "Canada's Mother Teresa" and "Honourable Sister," she operated a medical clinic in a remote, poverty-stricken part of northern India. She treated thousands with every kind of affliction, from malaria and leprosy to burns and lost limbs. Despite many obstacles, and with limited resources and facilities, she provided vital health care for her patients over many years.
