During a competitive downhill racing career that started at the age of twelve, she had raced against the best on the toughest slopes in the world. All of her hard work and training came to fruition during the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, when she became only the second double medal winner in Canadian Olympic alpine skiing history, capturing Bronze medals in the downhill and super giant slalom events.
