She has met many challenges to become the exceptional community builder that she is today. Founding President of the East Preston Day Care Centre, she has helped to establish innovative programs for the Black community that provide quality education and nurturing for children. In addition, she has implemented programs that have enabled parents to overcome socioeconomic barriers and pursue work and educational opportunities. Numerous volunteer organizations have also benefited from her expertise and tireless efforts, notably the Girl Guides and Scouts Canada.
