A lawyer by profession, he created the Killarney Foundation, an organization that has been strengthening community ties for more than twenty years. One of the Foundation's most successful endeavours was the building of the Killarney and District Community Centre, a facility which has become a focal point for local recreational, cultural and educational groups. In addition, he travels throughout Manitoba helping others in rural communities plan and establish similar foundations.
